TheunitresetstheconfigurationsofallElapsedTimerssetforCLEAR. TheunitturnsaCLEARedTimerOFF,setstheTimer’sdirectionto DOWN,turnstheTriggerfunctionOFF,setstheTriggerforONE-SHOT operation,setstheTriggerMessageto0,andsetsboththeTimerand Triggervaluesto0000:00:00.00. 3.IftheADI/MDIwasprocessingaMessagerequestwhenthelast power-downoccurred,itclearstheMessageQueueanddeletesallIndexed andLocalEmbeddedData.WhenevertheunitisprocessingaMessage request,itcouldbemodifyingtheQueuecontents,orsavinganddeleting EmbeddedData.IfapowerinterruptionoccursduringtheMessage processingtime,theunitcannotfullyrestoretheMessageQueueorthe EmbeddedDataStorageareatotheirpre-requestcontents.Somedatais invariablylost,orcorrupted.Underthesecircumstances,theunitcannot guaranteetheintegrityofitsQueueorthedataitholdsandmust,therefore, cleartheMessageQueueandtheEmbeddedDataStorageareaat power-up. YoucanconfiguretheADI/MDItoretainitscurrentQueuecontentsand EmbeddedDataStorageareaonthenextpower-upbyHALTingtheunit withthe“C19HLT”Commandstringbeforepoweringtheunitdown,orby guaranteeingthattheunitisnotprocessingaMessagewhenpoweris removed.IfyouHALTtheunitorverifythatitisnotprocessingaMessage requestbeforeremovingpower,theunitretainsalltheQueueand EmbeddedDatainformationitcontainedatpower-downwhenpoweris reapplied. 4.IftheQueuefunctionisON,andthereisatleastoneEntryontheQueue,the unitoverridestheResetMessagefunction,andrequeststheMessagefrom theTopoftheQueue(QueueEntry0).Inthiscase,theResetMessageisnot requested. 5.IftheResetMessagefunctionisON,andtheQueuefunctionisOFForthe Queueisempty,theunitissuesarequestfortheResetMessage. 6.IftheunithasnoMessagetorequestfromeithertheQueueortheReset Messagefunction,itthenchecksthestatusoftheDefaultMessage function.IftheDefaultMessagefunctionisON,theunitissuesarequest fortheDefaultMessage. 7.IftheDefaultMessagefunctionisOFF,theunitblanksthedisplayand enterstheUnitREADYcondition.TheADI/MDIindicatesitsREADY statusthroughthecurrentlyconfiguredhandshakingprotocol(i.e.,it issuesanXONfortheXON/XOFFmode,ortakestheOutputpintothe READYstatefortheREADY/BUSYmode). 8.IftheunitfoundaMessagetorequestfromtheMessageQueue,theDefault Messagefunction,ortheResetMessagefunction,itdoesnotindicatethe UnitREADYstatusuntilaftertherequestedMessagehasbeenprocessed. -74-
