Thestatisticsaretransmittedasshown: EDSTORAGEAREA MAXIMUM:29940 CURRENT:00000 PEAK:00000 TheMAXIMUMstatisticshowsthemaximumEmbeddedDataStorage area,inbytes.TheCURRENTstatisticshowstheamountofStoragespace thatiscurrentlyoccupied.ThePEAKstatisticshowsthelargestamountof Storagespacethathasbeenoccupiedatanyonetime,sincethelastMessage FiledownloadorResetCommand.Thisvalueisresetto0oneveryMessage Filedownload,andyoucanresetitwiththe“C09SR”Commandstring.These statisticsarehelpfulfordeterminingtheavailablememoryforaparticular application.(SeeCOMMANDC09,page89,fordetailsontheC09SR CommandString.) TheParallelPortcanbeusedtointerrupttheADI/MDIwhileitis collectingdataforaMessage.Incaseofaninterruption,theunitdeletesall dataithasacquiredfortheMessageuptothepointofinterruption,and abandonsfurtherprocessingofthatMessage.Theunitthenproceedsto processtheinterruptingMessagerequest. YoucanprogramaMessagetocollectuptofifteenseparateEmbedded Data(ED)Items.YoumustassigneachEDItemaseitheraLocalItemoran IndexedItem.Thisdataitemtype,eitherLocalorIndexed,determinesthe scopeandaccessibilityofthatitem.TheADI/MDIcollectstheEDItemsfora MessageintheordertheyappearontheMessageEditingscreen,startingwith Item1.BothLocalandIndexedItemscanbecollectedinthesameMessage, buttheunitmustcollectalltheLocalEDItemsforaMessagebeforeit collectsanyIndexedEDItems,thustheLocalItemsalwaysappearinthe MessageEditingscreenwiththelowestEDItemnumbers. YouprogramaMessagetocollectEmbeddedDatabyfirstselecting“Yes” fortheCOLLECTEMBEDDEDDATAfield,andthenbyenteringthe numberofLOCALand/orINDEXitemsyouwishtocollect.Asyouare enteringthesenumbers,aconfigurationfieldappearsonthescreenforeach EDItemspecified. YouconfigureeachitembypositioningthecursorontherespectiveItem numberandhittingtheSPACEbarorclickingthemouse.TheEmbedded DataItemConfigurationsub-menuforthatitemthenappears. LocalEmbeddedData OnlytheMessagecollectingaLocalItemcandisplaythatitem,andthe ADI/MDIcannotperformanydatamanipulationsorcomparisonsonthe item.AsingleLocalEmbeddedDataRecordiscreatedcontainingallofthe LocalEmbeddedDataItemsaMessagecollectsandthisrecordisstoredinthe EmbeddedDataStorageareawhiletheMessageappearsontheQueue.A LocalEmbeddedDataRecordcanholdupto254bytes,includingcertain controlbytestheADI/MDIusestolocateandseparateindividualitems withintherecord. WhentheunitremovesaMessagefromtheQueue(throughMessagetime outorcancellation),itdeletestheLocalEmbeddedDataRecordforthat Message.Consequently,LocalEmbeddedDataItemsareMessagespecific andtemporary. YoucanusetheC09Commandtoaccess,butnotchange,anyoftheLocal EmbeddedDataRecordsandItemsanADI/MDIunitmaycontain.(See COMMANDC09,page89,fordetails.) -21-
