Content	Altera Corporation 03/05/2008 ADV0804 CCUUSSTTOOMMEERR AADDVVIISSOORRYY AADDVV00880044 TSMC WAFER FABRICATION SITES FOR THE STRATIX III FPGA FAMILY Description Altera will begin shipping Stratix® III FPGAs out of two Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) wafer fabrication sites: FAB 12, located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and FAB 14, located in Tainan, Taiwan. The Stratix III FPGA family is manufactured using the 65-nm process technology. Altera is currently qualifying both fabrication sites simultaneously. Qualification data collected from both sites will demonstrate that Altera’s process technology, quality, reliability, and product performance requirements have been achieved. Advantage Altera will utilize both fabs to ensure product availability and to be in a better position to meet long-term customer demand. Products Affected Table 1 lists the products affected by this advisory. A list of ordering part numbers is available upon request. Table 1.
