Table 3-1Information on ”SimoCom U” FunctionDescription Tasks which can be handled using ”SimoCom U” Checks wiring (jump into the online help: Connection diagrams) Establishes a connection to the drive to be parameterized Changes parameters –Essential parameters are changed, prompted –You can change over the parameters via the list parameterization Upgrades firmware Optimizes controller parameters Traverses axes Drive status diagnostics –Recognizes the connected hardware –Displays the status of the I/O signals –Displays the alarms and information on how they can be resolved Diagnostics –Parameterizes test sockets (DAU1, DAU2) Selected signals in the drive can be connected to measuring sockets for measurement using an oscilloscope. –Executes measuring functions The most important current and speed control loop quantities can be measured and graphically displayed in the time and frequency range without having to use external equipment. –Executes trace functions Selected measuring quantities in the drive can be measured, corresponding to the specified measuring parameters and can be graphically displayed using ”SimoCom U”. Saves the results –Saves parameters in the drive FEPROM –Saves parameters in a file/open a file –Prints parameters Comparing parameter sets This allows the difference between two parameter sets to be determined. Initialize the board The board condition when first supplied can be established using this function. User parameter list The user can include the parameters he selected in this list. This list has the same functionality as the expert list. Working offline. this means that you are only working at the computer and there is no connection to a POSMO SI or POSMO CD/CA drive.
