Designated the TMC Series, the general purpose thick film military chip resistors conform to MIL-PRF- 55342 standards. According to Gary Bleasdell, thick film business unit director for IRC’s Advanced Film Division, R level equates to a failure rate of 0.01% or less for a specified device, and IRC’s TMC Series resistors have reached this qualification. “The qualification process involves the accumulation of more than 9 million device hours of testing without any failures to be certified to R level,” said Bleasdell. “Having MIL-qualification for our thick film chip resistors is a great complement to our thin film resistor line, which has been military-qualified to “S” level for a number of years.” - more -
