A more detailed list of existing codes and guidelines is included in the Appendices. 2.2 DEVELOP SPECIFIC HUMAN RIGHTS POLICIES WHERE APPROPRIATE A good human rights policy should give consideration to the points in the checklist below: Including human rights in existing policies – some examples Hewlett-Packard’s Global Citizenship Policy states its commitment to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and includes specific policies on human rights and labor, as well as employee privacy. HP’s Global Citizenship organization provides the governance for human rights and the other key aspects of its commitment to corporate citizenship. Human Rights are integral elements of Corporate Citizenship at Novartis.
