Content	ALTERA Corporation9/19/96 PCN9616 PROCESS CHANGE NOTICE ASSEMBLY & TEST SITE ADDITION In order to accommodate the high customer demand for EPM7032 plastic packaged products, Altera will be adding Sharp as an assembly and test facility. Sharp has been selected because of excellent reliability and test performance along with the ability to accommodate Altera’s high volume capacity requirements. The assembly process at Sharp meets Altera’s plastic package qualification requirements (initial qualification data is provided in the table below). The products will be tested using the same test equipment and programs as are currently used by Altera. Altera may begin shipping product manufactured at Sharp as early as December 1996. In order for you to identify these devices, Sharp-tested products will be marked with a ‘D’ as the first character in the topside date code. In addition, parts assembled at Sharp will have ‘Japan’ indicated as the country of origin, which will be marked on the backside of Altera’s devices.
