Note the following: −The gearing is started with _enableFixedGearing without a transition func- tion. −The gearing ratio is specified in the function parameter. −The startPosition. parameter acts only if position is selected as the gear- ing basis. •_disableFixedGearing: Disable gearing functionality Comment: −The gearing is started with _disableFixedGearing without a transition function. The interconnection values on the output side have a value of 0 following system power-up and following the _disable. command. The following can be set for _disableFixedGearing: •Freeze value •Input substitute value •Input a value of 0.0 Absolute or relative gearing The fixed gearing can be set to absolute or relative gearing with the gearingType parameter of the _enableFixedGearing command. •With absolute synchronous operation (ABSOLUTE), the input and output val- ues are interpreted absolutely , i.e. directly coupled. •With relative synchronous operation (RELATIVE), the input and output are interpreted relatively , i.e. coupled with an offset. Direction The gear ratio can be set to positive or negative (corresponding to a negative gear ratio) with the direction parameter of the _enableFixedGearing command. •POSITIVE means that the axes are running in the same direction. •NEGATIVE means that the axes are running in opposite directions |
