General goals of a power management system: •to identify savings potential •to reduce power costs •to ensure power availability through transparency of the momentary conditions and through comprehensive power assignments and evaluations. The SENTRON powermanager PC-based power management software •is a stand-alone power management software •can be operated with a PC and measuring instruments with Ethernet connection •is expandable from the simple standard application to a fully flexible customer solution •is fully scalable with regard to the number of devices and to the software s functions •ensures the optimum integration of measuring instruments from the SENTRON PAC range, SENTRON 3WL/3VL circuit breakers and other devices SENTRON powermanager is designed for: •Collecting •Monitoring •Evaluating •Presenting •Archiving power data from SENTRON PAC3100, PAC3200 and PAC4200 power monitoring devices, SENTRON 3WL/3VL circuit breakers, and any modbus-capable detecting devices. Option packages Expert and Web The SENTRON powermanager standard package already cov- ers the usual requirements. With this package the user receives an easy-to-engineer power management software which en- ables the data detected by the measuring instruments to be read out, presented, archived and processed in basic evalua- tions. With the option package Expert the user receives full flex- ibility for the presentation of graphic interfaces (e.g. single-line presentations) in order to integrate his own images and devices. The data/images are displayed as standard using a Windows client which must be installed on the PC. The option package Web is offered to meet the market s demands for web presen- tation. The components are optimally coordi- nated with each other, e.g. special drivers for the SENTRON devices are integrated in the SENTRON powermanager software so that on the one hand the power data acquisition can take place without any great configuration effort and on the other hand the most important measured values or states are indica- ted by predefined displays. This reduces the engineering expenditures for the customer and gives the user the assurance of knowing that the device func- tions are optimally supported in the software. © Siemens AG 2010
