Content	P1 THE SIMPLEST AMPLIFIER FOR APPLICATIONS ON MACHINE TOOL The P1 electronic unit has been designed and manufactured using the latest technology for in-process and post-process measuring applications on machine tools, particularly grinding machines. The P1 amplifier is connected to one precision measuring head and performs one mea- surement, either in-process size control or post-process compensation of tool wear. The main advantages of the P1 are: Ease of use Analog meter for the in-process use on a grinding machine, digital and analog read -out for the post-process version. Set-up, adjustments and measurement correction are performed by means of one selec- tor and two push-buttons. Reduced size Display and operator adjustments are located in a compact panel that can be easily integrated in the control panel or a stand alone version in its small cabinet that is easily assembled with either adjustable support or fixing bracket. Improved reliability The unit, available in over twenty versions with characteristics of: meter, metric and/or inches display, transducers processing, machine tool interface, is comprised of the min- imum number of components for reliability and simple service.
