| Content | 3D Melt Tank Loader FAQ How does a customer get one or more 3D units? Your Henkel Sales Pro will submit a request for the unit(s) and if certain criteria are met, the units will be ordered. Units will not be ordered until the customer has signed a Terms & Conditions. Does the customer have to sign a contract? The customer must sign a Terms & Conditions. The Terms & Conditions indicates that Henkel will loan the 3D to the customer as long as he/she runs Henkel adhesive through it. Who owns the equipment? Henkel retains ownership of the unit at all times. The unit is loaned to the customer as long as he puts Henkel product through the unit. What do I get? A 3D Melt Tank Loader, Cool-bin (75kg/165lb plastic bin), Manual, One Year Manufacturer’s Warranty. How will the 3D unit be packaged? If a Cool-bin is ordered with the unit, the 3D unit will be packed inside the Cool-bin for shipment. If a Cool-bin is not ordered, the unit will be delivered in a cardboard box. What is the lead-time to get a 3D unit? Approximately 2 weeks after Henkel evaluation and approval. Standard units available: Nordson™ 3100/3200, 2300/2302, 2304, 2306, 3400, 3500/3500V, 3700, 3800/3900, ProBlue® 7/10, ProBlue® 4, and a Universal Bolt On System. What kind of electrical supply do I need? You need 110-240 volts a.c./single phase/50/60Hz/0.4amps. What kind of air supply do I need? You need a 12mm supply at 4bar pressure consuming 17m3/hr (10cfm). The unit uses compressed air as the means to convey the hot melt. If the required amount of compressed air (pressure and volume) is not available, the unit may not work properly. What is the maximum distance the unit can convey? The unit is supplied with 3m (10 ) of conveying hose. The unit can convey vertically 4m (13 ) maximum. The unit can convey up to 30m (100 ) in pastille form or 15m (50 ) in mini or micro mini slat form. Installation over long distances may require additional support for the flexible conveying hose. Can a remote alarm be fitted to the unit instead of the local alarm in the panel? Yes, you can fit a remote audible, visual or a combination of both. You simply connect this in place of the existing alarm in the control panel. It is 24vdc supply and a maximum of 100mA resistance is allowed. Please refer to the manual for details. Who installs the 3D unit? The customer is responsible for installation of the 3D unit. The unit has been designed specifically with this in mind, so that if there is already an electric and air supply made available, installation should take no more than 10 minutes. A very comprehensive manual is shipped with the unit to assist with the installation. What if the 3D unit breaks down? 1. Refer to the manual for troubleshooting instructions. 2. Contact your Sales Pro for additional troubleshooting. 3. Visit 3Dautofill.com to order replacement parts. If necessary, the unit can be removed from the melt tank in less than 5 minutes and the melt tank may be fed manually as before. Can I relocate the 3D unit to another facility? Because the 3D unit is property of Henkel, any relocation of the unit requires prior approval by Henkel Corporation. Please contact 866.266.5565 to discuss relocation with a specialist. What if the customer stops using Henkel products through the 3D unit? The unit must be returned to Henkel. Please call 866.266.5565 to arrange the return.
