Content	PRESS RELEASE: PLANNED SUCCESSION AT D’IETEREN REGULATED INFORMATION Embargo: Thursday 16 May 2013 – 5:45 pm CET P. 1/2 AXEL MILLER TO SUCCEED JEAN-PIERRE BIZET AS MANAGING DIRECTOR - CEO OF D IETEREN The Board of directors of D’Ieteren has appointed Axel Miller to succeed Jean-Pierre Bizet as managing director and CEO of the Group as of 1 August 2013. Jean-Pierre Bizet will remain on the Board as a non-executive director. Roland D’Ieteren, Chairman of the Board, declared: “The Board and I are delighted to have the opportunity now to entrust the chief executive responsibility of the Group to Axel Miller, who has known the company for many years, as well as its challenges, organization, environment and family shareholding. Axel is well equipped to steer our Group, which benefits from talented leadership teams and 25,700 staff, on a long term growth path, with the active support of its family shareholders. Also, personally and on behalf of the Board, I wish to pay a special tribute to Jean-Pierre Bizet and to thank him wholeheartedly for the high quality personal impact he has had on our Group over the last decade.” Axel Miller (48) has a law degree from the University of Brussels and has devoted 14 years of his career to the Bar. He has subsequently held various leadership positions within Dexia Group, to later become partner and Chairman of the Executive committee of Petercam. Axel Miller joined the D’Ieteren Board of directors in May 2010 as an independent non-executive director. He has known the Group for over 20 years. Jean-Pierre Bizet (65) joined D’Ieteren in October, 2002, and became Managing Director and CEO in May, 2005. Under his leadership, the Group has successfully taken up a number of challenges: the strengthening of our number 1 position in car distribution in Belgium, the worldwide development of Belron, in which D’Ieteren raised its interest to close to 95%, and the turnaround of our car rental activity, leading to its sale, all of the above creating substantial value over the decade.
